The Jersey City chapter was the inaugural branch of Strength for Seniors, launched by organization founder Ria Chauhan. Today, it is helmed by President Jeremy Nashid and continues to operate as one of the most active chapters in the network. Volunteers from the Jersey City chapter lead weekly sessions across three senior residences—Grandview Terrace, 500 Manilla, and Battery View Blaine Apartments—and two nursing homes—Peace Care St. Ann’s and Peace Care St. Joseph’s. The chapter also hosts a bi-weekly walking club, fostering regular physical activity and connection among its seniors. Ria Chauhan was awarded "Student Activist of the Year" by the James Solomon Civic Association for her work launching and expanding the chapter.
